Being Swept AwayBeing Swept Away
Truth be told we love sweeping the walkways in front of our shop doors. But we know there'll soon come a time when we've run out of excuses for dashing outside at a moment's notice with broom in hand.

Before our morning has officially begun, our sweeping has a feeling of airy buoyancy.  Each step taken becomes lighter, each movement feels so nimble. Anchoring us to the sidewalk and cheering us on are bubbling fountains, reflective lily ponds and stately potted plants that glow in the morning light.

When afternoon arrives, we can sense the high anticipation of what lies ahead. Our sweeping becomes more spirited as the day's pace quickens. Customers stop to chat, sharing stories and the latest good news of family and friends returning for season.

As evening shadows lengthen, our sweeping takes on a more reflective mood. Each passing moment reminds us to savor the beauty that surrounds us and to invent new excuses for tomorrow when we eagerly grab our well-worn broom in hand.

P.S. Join us October 30th and 31st as South Pineapple Avenue is transformed by street artists participating in this fall's Sarasota Chalk Festival. It's A Little Funny…A Little Spooky Halloween-themed treat for everyone! Visit SarasotaChalkFestival.com for complete details.

(Center)  With their traditional but with a twist appeal, our decorative leaf wall plaques cast from impressions of the real thing, can be hung indoors or out. (Right) Perfect as is or filled with favorite orchids, plants or tropical cuttings, your loved ones will cherish your thoughtfulness forever.

PhalaenopsisCooling Down for Fall
Hip, hip hurrah! Cooler days and nights have arrived on the Southwest Coast of Florida and, yes, your orchids are cheering.

If you haven't already, bring your Phalaenopsis orchids outdoors, and keep them there,  where they can enjoy the reviving drop in temperatures.  Your Phals will need at least one week of 55 degree evening temperatures (along with less frequent waterings) to develop lovely flower spikes later this winter.

Finding Your FragranceFinding Your Fragrance
It can be a seemingly never-ending quest for perfectly scented candles and diffusers for your home or office.  So, we're sharing our fragrance finder tips to lessen any frustrations you could be feeling.

First, narrow the candidates by asking yourself what aromas really appeal to you.  Then, only consider products and fragrances that are natural and from renewable resources like hand-poured candles and natural oil diffusers that are made in the U.S.A from K. Hall Designs. Finally, know that your tastes may change depending on the season.

Stop by our shop and see and sniff for yourself what's fresh for fall including Grove, one of our new aromatic favorites from K. Hall.
